Yes sad I know posting a comment on your own blog still this is an explanation of the poem.
Hold Me can be taken in two ways that I have found. One is the easy-to-see girlfriend/boyfriend/partner viewpoint. The other is a call for support for someone like a nurse from a patient.
There might be other ways of looking at it but I honestly only was aiming for the second when I wrote it.
